Jace Freeman (Virden, MB) needed a tiebreaker to advance to the playoffs, failed to advance to the playoff round, losing in the tiebreaker round, Freeman finished 4-2 in the 21-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Freeman lost 7-6 to Rogan Snow (Saskatoon, SK), droppimg another game, 4-3 to Calan MacIsaac (Truro, NS) where Freeman responded with a 6-2 win over Evan Robert (Sault Ste Marie, NO). Freeman won 3-2 against Brendan Rajala (Sudbury, NO), then won 7-5 against Philippe Jauron (Cote-Nord, QC) and 8-4 against Dylan Derksen (Martensville, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
