Kang/Lee lost 13-6 to Seojin Park/Jae Ik Jeon (Gyeongbuk, KOR) where Kang/Lee responded with a 9-1 win over Suryeong Kim/Juni Kwon (Daegu, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Kang/Lee earned 4.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 2 of the event schedule, Kang/Lee did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 153rd to 159th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 1.125 total points. Kang/Lee ranks 49th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.000 points earned so far this season.
