Kang won 11-1 against 's , then won 6-4 against Soyeon Kim (Chuncheon, KOR) and 10-5 against Suhyeon Kim (UISEONG, KOR). Kang went on to lose 7-5 against Seungyoun Ha (Chuncheon, KOR). Kang lost 9-6 to Gim in their final qualifying round match.
