Kim won 8-6 against Daehyeon Kim (Daegu, KOR), then won 6-4 against Jongduk Park (Gangwon, KOR) and 8-5 against Hakjun Kim (Gangneung, KOR). Kim won 8-2 against Woojung Lee (Uiseong, KOR), then won 12-2 against GunWoo Park (Uijeongbu, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.
