Skaslien/Nedregotten finished 5-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Skaslien/Nedregotten defeated Berfin Sengul/Bilal Omer Cakir (Erzurum, TUR) 8-3, then won 9-6 against Zhang/Wang and 6-5 against Chiaki Matsumura/Yasumasa Tanida (Nagano/Hokkaido, JPN).
