Scoffin finished 3-0 in the 22-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scoffin defeated Tyler Powell (Calgary, AB) 8-1, then won 7-1 against Chase Sinnett (Chaska, MN) and 8-4 against Matt Hoffman (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
