To advance to the championship game, Schmidt won 6-1 over Andrin Schnider (Limmattal, SUI) in the semifinals of the Danish Open in Copenhagen, Denmark; and won 7-2 over Liam Goldbeck (Hvidovre, DEN) in the quarterfinals. of the Danish Open in Copenhagen, Denmark;
