Hiroki Hasegawa (Sapporo, JPN) won 8-5 over Rio Hayashi (Hokkaido, JPN) in the Final of the Morioka City Mens Memorial Cup, held June 7 - 8 in Morioka, Japan. To advance to the championship game, Hasegawa won 12-7 over Chikara Segawa (Morioka, JPN) in the semifinals

Hasegawa finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasegawa lost 6-2 to Ryo Wakabayashi (Okayama, JPN), then responded with a 10-3 win over Kotaro Noguchi (Sendai-shi, JPN). Hasegawa won 4-3 against Naomasa Takeda (Nayoro, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
