Connor Grabow (Bismarck, ND) won 6-1 over Austin Kadlec (Rice Lake, WI) in the Final of the MCT Border Cup, held October 2 - 5 at the Fargo-Moorhead Curling Club in Fargo, United States. To advance to the championship game, Grabow won 8-3 over Megan Stopera (Minneapolis, MN) in the semifinals of the MCT Border Cup in Fargo, North Dakota, United States; and won 6-5 over William Jordan (St. Paul, MN) in the quarterfinals. of the MCT Border Cup in Fargo, North Dakota, United States;
Grabow finished 2-2 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Grabow lost 5-1 to Ann Podoll (Fargo, ND), then responded with a 6-5 win over Porter Rokke (Fargo, ND). Grabow went on to lose 6-5 against Jordan. Grabow responded with a 6-4 win over Zach Anderson (Fossum, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the MCT Border Cup Championship title, Grabow earned 4.500 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque. Grabow move up 55 spots after posting a net gain of 4.2 points improving upon their best 2 results so far this season, ranking 176th overall with 6.901 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Grabow ranks 113th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.213 points earned so far this season.
