Calan MacIsaac (Truro, NS) run at the 2025 U25 NextGen Classic came to an end in the semifinals with a 7-5 loss to Sam Mooibroek (Whitby, ON). of the 2025 U25 NextGen Classic in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
 
MacIsaac finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacIsaac defeated Daniel Hocevar (Toronto, ON) 7-4, then won 8-6 against Jacob Libbus (Edmonton, AB) and 9-4 against Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB). MacIsaac went on to lose 7-1 against Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB). MacIsaac responded with a 10-9 win over Tanner Graham (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
MacIsaac earned 14.025 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the U25 NextGen Classic, moving up 24 spots the World Ranking Standings into 81st place overall with 34.213 total points. MacIsaac ranks 28th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.025 points earned so far this season.
