Shiella Cowan (New Westminster, BC) run at the King Cash Spiel came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-5 loss to Kayla Wilson (Kamloops, BC).

Cowan finished 4-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cowan defeated Sarah Wark (Abbotsford, BC) 6-4, then went on to lose 8-0 against Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN). Cowan responded with a 7-3 win over British Columbia's Layna Pohlod. Cowan won 8-7 against Wark. Cowan went on to lose 10-7 against Kitazawa. Cowan responded with a 10-7 win over Holly Hafeli (Kamloops, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Cowan earned 4.713 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the King Cash Spiel, moving up 17 spots the World Ranking Standings into 106th place overall with 13.054 total points. Cowan ranks 94th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.976 points earned so far this season.
