To advance to the championship game, Kim won 7-3 over Elizabeth Cousins (Nashua, NH) in the semifinals of the Dale's St. Paul Cashspiel in St. Paul; and won 6-1 over Allory Johnson (Blaine, MN) in the quarterfinals. of the Dale's St. Paul Cashspiel in St. Paul;
Kim finished 3-1 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim lost 10-7 to Ann Podoll (Fargo, ND), then responded with a 10-4 win over Bella Hagenbuch (Utica, IL). Kim won 7-2 against Christine McMakin (Fargo, ND), then won 7-2 against Tabitha Peterson (Chaska, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Dale's St. Paul Cashspiel Championship title, Kim earned 21.750 world rankings points along with the $7,022CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 5th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of -17.469 after improving upon their best so far this season. Kim ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 81.500 points earned so far this season.
