To advance to the championship game, Kim won 7-3 over Elizabeth Cousins (Nashua, NH) in the semifinals of the Dale's St. Paul Cashspiel in St. Paul; and won 6-1 over Allory Johnson (Blaine, MN) in the quarterfinals. of the Dale's St. Paul Cashspiel in St. Paul;
Kim finished 3-1 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim lost 10-7 to Ann Podoll (Fargo, ND), then responded with a 10-4 win over Bella Hagenbuch (Utica, IL). Kim won 7-2 against Christine McMakin (Fargo, ND), then won 7-2 against Tabitha Peterson (Chaska, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Dale's St. Paul Cashspiel Championship title, Kim earned 21.750 world rankings points along with the $7,022CDN first prize cheque. For week of the event schedule, Kim did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kim ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
