Ming Chieh Lee (Taipei City, TPE) finished 1-5 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lee lost 16-0 to Kazakhstan's Angelina Ebauyer, droppimg another game, 8-2 to Brazil's Luciana Barrella. Lee lost 13-4 to Puerto Rico's Emily Pinnelli where Lee responded with a 13-9 win over Thailand's Phichayathida Jaosap. Lee went on to lose 9-3 against Ling-Yue Hung (Hong Kong, HKG). Lee lost 12-5 to Kathleen Dubberstein (Manila, PHI) in their final qualifying round match.
