In their opening game, Einarson defeated Bobae Kang (Jeonbuk, KOR) 7-3, then won 6-3 against Rui Wang (Beijing, CHN). Einarson went on to lose 6-4 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI). Einarson lost 8-7 to Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Einarson earned 7.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 8th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 3.75 after improving upon their best so far this season. Einarson ranks 13th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 106.625 points earned so far this season.
