Bobae Kang (Jeonbuk, KOR) won 8-2 over Sara Messenzehl (Fuessen, GER) in the Final of the World Junior Curling Championships, held April 12 - 21, 2025 in Cortina d, Italy. To advance to the championship game, Kang won 7-6 over Moa Dryburgh (Sundbyberg , SWE) in the semifinals
 
Kang finished 6-3 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kang defeated Torhild Bjoernstad (Oppdal, NOR) 7-3, then went on to lose 9-7 against Ariane Oberson (Bern, SUI). Kang responded with a 9-4 win over Ziru Li (Beijing, CHN). Kang won 7-0 against Evelina Barone (Riga, LAT). Kang went on to lose 12-2 against Dryburgh. Kang responded with a 10-4 win over Yuina Miura (Nayoro, JPN). Kang won 7-4 against Allyson MacNutt (Halifax, CAN), then won 9-5 against Rebecca Mariani (Trentino, ITA). Kang went on to lose 10-9 against Messenzehl in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the World Junior Curling Championships Championship title, Kang earned 15.000 world rankings points. Kang move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 5.25 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 20th overall with 139.188 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Kang ranks 20th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 139.188 points earned so far this season.
