Kaitlyn Lawes (Winnipeg, MB) finished 4-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lawes defeated Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) 7-4, then won 8-7 against Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, AB).
