Simon Perry (St. John's, NL) finished 5-3 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Perry defeated Harrison Hrynew (New Westminster, BC) 10-9, then went on to lose 10-2 against Calan MacIssac (Halifax, NS). Perry responded with a 11-7 win over Noah Garner (Mississauga, ON). Perry went on to lose 8-7 against Peter Hlushak (Spruce Grove, AB). Perry responded with a 14-2 win over Brendan Rajala (Sudbury, NO). Perry won 8-6 against Rajan Dalrymple (Oromocto, NB), then won 14-2 against Jack MacFadyen (Cornwall, PEI). Perry went on to lose 11-9 against Jace Freeman (Virden, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Perry earned 0.938 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 35 of the event schedule, Perry did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Perry ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
