Jacobs won 6-4 against Felix Asselin (Montreal, QC), then won 9-6 against Mike McEwen (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Montana's Brier Championship title, Jacobs earned 67.500 world rankings points.
