Kim finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE) 7-5, then won 5-2 against Kerri Einarson (Gimli, MB) and 9-2 against Xenia Schwaller (Zurich, SUI). Kim won 7-3 against Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN). Kim went on to lose 6-5 against Homan in their final qualifying round match.
Kim earned 42.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the AMJ Players' Championship. Kim move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 19.125 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 4th overall with 313.750 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Kim ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 313.750 points earned so far this season.
