Zoe Cinnamon/Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB) won 8-6 over Mikoto Nakajima/Takeru Yamamoto (Karuizawa, JPN) in the Final of the World Open U25 Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, held May 1 - 4, 2025 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Cinnamon/Tao won 20-14 over Serena Gray-Withers/Andrew Nowell (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2025 World Open U25 Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 11-4 over Amy Wheatcroft/Adam Naugler (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2025 World Open U25 Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
Cinnamon/Tao finished 4-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cinnamon/Tao defeated Ania Bacali/Tudor Pop (Bucharest, ROU) 11-1, then won 7-6 against Sofie Krupickova/Ondrej Blaha (Prague, CZE) and 8-6 against Paige Bown/Jacob Clarke (Navan, ON). Cinnamon/Tao won 7-3 against England's Chloe McNaughton/Matthew Waring in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the World Open U25 Mixed Doubles Curling Championship Championship title, Cinnamon/Tao earned 7.500 world rankings points. For week 40 of the event schedule, Cinnamon/Tao did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Cinnamon/Tao ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
