CHAMPION: Suuripaa/Rantamaki Wins 2025 Finnish Mixed Doubles Championship

Tiina Suuripaa/Tomi Rantamaki (Lohja, FIN) won 7-6 over Lotta Immonen/Markus Sipila (Lohja, FIN) in the Final of the Finnish Mixed Doubles Championship, held February 7 - 9, 2025 in Turku, Finland. To advance to the championship game, Suuripaa/Rantamaki won 7-3 over Susanna Santti/Iikko Santti (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in the semifinals of the 2025 Finnish Mixed Doubles Championship in Turku, Finland;

Suuripaa/Rantamaki finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Suuripaa/Rantamaki defeated Bonnie Nilhamn/Paavo Kuosmanen (Hyvinkaa, FIN) 8-3, then won 11-5 against Janina Lindstrom/Melker Lundberg (Aland, FIN) and 14-1 against Miia Ahrenberg/Juhana Saario (Turku, FIN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Finnish Mixed Doubles Championship Championship title, Suuripaa/Rantamaki earned 3.750 world rankings points. For week 28 of the event schedule, Suuripaa/Rantamaki did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Suuripaa/Rantamaki ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
