Simon Granbom (Gavle, SWE) lost 6-2 to Joel Westerberg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the Final of the Swedish Curling Championships, held January 30 - February 2, 2025 at the Murray Arena in Okotoks, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Granbom won 6-3 over Axel Landelius (Mjolby, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2025 Swedish Curling Championships in Okotoks, Alberta, Canada; and won 7-2 over Vilmer Nygren (Harnosand, SWE) in the quarterfinals.
 
Granbom finished 2-1 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Granbom defeated Nygren 8-1, then went on to lose 4-3 against Johan Nygren (Umea, SWE). Granbom responded with a 7-6 win over Jordan Wahlin (Linkoeping, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Swedish Curling Championships, Granbom take home 8.250 world rankings points. Granbom move up 118 spots after posting a net gain of 6.387 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 146th overall with 9.000 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Granbom ranks 146th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 9.000 points earned so far this season.
