Stewart responded with a 9-7 win over Mike Kennedy (Moncton, NB). Stewart won 9-6 against Grattan in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the New Brunswick Tankard, Stewart take home 5.500 world rankings points. Stewart move up 81 spots after posting a net gain of 4.265 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 148th overall with 8.500 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
