Kitazawa/Usui went on to lose 10-2 against Tori Koana/Go Aoki (Yamanasshi, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Kitazawa/Usui earned 15.750 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Japanese Mixed Doubles National Championship.
