After advancing directly to the championship game, Emma Artichuk (Sudbury, NO) lost 6-5 to Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NO) in the Final of the Northern Ontario Women's Provincial, held January 21 - 26, 2025 at the Port Arthur Curling Club in Thunder Bay, Canada.
Artichuk finished 5-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Artichuk defeated Robyn Despins (Thunder Bay, NO) 10-3, then won 7-6 against Lauren Mann (Timmins, NO). Artichuk went on to lose 9-6 against McCarville. Artichuk responded with a 9-2 win over Ashley Palmer (Thunder Bay, NO). Artichuk won 7-2 against Laura Johnston (North Bay, NO), then won 8-3 against Claire Dubinsky (Kakabeka Falls, NO) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Northern Ontario Women's Provincial, Artichuk take home 5.500 world rankings points, remaining in 49th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 4.375 after improving upon their best so far this season. Artichuk ranks 46th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 58.125 points earned so far this season.
