Zheng finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Zheng defeated Eilin Kjaerland (Lillehammer, NOR) 9-4, then won 7-6 against Sara Olson (Duluth, USA) and 9-4 against Nadine Baertschiger (Solothurn, SUI). Zheng went on to lose 7-5 against Robyn Munro (Glasgow, GBR). Zheng responded with a 7-3 win over Yui Ozeki (Tokyo, JPN). Zheng won 10-4 against Zardini Lacedelli, then won 9-4 against Sutor in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their third place finish at the FISU World University Games, Zheng earn 6.375 world rankings points. For week 25 of the event schedule, Zheng did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 15th to 16th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 85.678 total points. Zheng ranks 17th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 71.002 points earned so far this season.
