Eduard Nikolov (Kyiv, UKR) finished 3-6 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nikolov lost 7-4 to Axel Landelius (Mjolby, SWE), droppimg another game, 8-6 to Great Britain's Arran Thomson where Nikolov responded with a 6-5 win over JaeBeom Lee (Uiseong, KOR). Nikolov went on to lose 7-1 against Giacomo Colli (Trentino, ITA). Nikolov lost 8-6 to Norway's Lukas Hostmaelingen where Nikolov responded with a 7-5 win over Jan Iseli (Solothurn , SUI). Nikolov went on to lose 6-4 against Caden Hebert (Eau Claire, USA). Nikolov lost 7-1 to Josh Bryden (Regina, CAN) where Nikolov responded with a 6-3 win over Tianyu Meng (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.

Nikolov earned 1.688 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 20 spots the World Ranking Standings into 192nd place overall with 6.469 total points. Nikolov ranks 186th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.438 points earned so far this season.
