In their opening game, Fedak lost 13-8 to Rogan Snow (Saskatoon, SK), droppimg another game, 9-1 to Dylan Derksen (Saskatoon, SK) where Fedak responded with a 10-4 win over Snow. Fedak won 12-4 against Carl deConinck Smith (Swift Current, SK), then won 9-8 against Ben Gamble (Regina, SK). Fedak went on to lose 9-8 against Derksen in their final qualifying round match.
