Marco Hoesli (Glarus, SUI) finished 7-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hoesli defeated Manuel Jermann (Basel, SUI) 4-2, then won 8-2 against Gian Wildhaber (Aarau, SUI) and 6-2 against Felix Luethold (Wildhaus, SUI). Hoesli went on to lose 5-4 against Yannick Schwaller (Geneve, SUI). Hoesli responded with a 5-3 win over Jan Iseli (Solothurn , SUI). Hoesli won 8-7 against Kim Schwaller (Oberwallis, SUI), then won 8-4 against Michael Brunner (Bern, SUI) and 8-4 against Schwaller in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Swiss Curling Championships, Hoesli take home 35.750 world rankings points, remaining in 9th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 14.75 after improving upon their best so far this season. Hoesli ranks 9th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 245.750 points earned so far this season.
