Hong Kong's Ling-Yue Hung finished 3-3 in the 29-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hong Kong's Ling-Yue Hung defeated Jamaica's Margot Shepherd-Spurgeon 8-4, then went on to lose 9-6 against Slovakia's Silvia Sykorova. Hong Kong's Ling-Yue Hung lost 8-2 to Latvia's Katrina Gaidule where Hong Kong's Ling-Yue Hung responded with a 7-4 win over Romania's Valentina Crina Boboc.
