In their opening game, Messenzehl defeated Hetty Garnier (Kent, ENG) 8-3, then won 13-3 against Evita Regza (Riga, LAT) and 8-6 against Miia Ahrenberg (Lohja, FIN). Messenzehl won 6-3 against Verena Pfluegler (Kitzbuehel, AUT). Messenzehl went on to lose 7-4 against Zuzana Paulova (Prague, CZE). Messenzehl responded with a 10-2 win over Lisenka Bomas (Zoetermeer, NED). Messenzehl won 9-6 against Marusa Gorisek (Ljubljana, SLO), then won 10-3 against Yaroslava Kalinichenko (Kyiv, UKR) and 7-5 against Aneta Lipinska (Lodz, POL). Messenzehl won 12-6 against Bomas. Messenzehl went on to lose 8-5 against Paulova in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Le Gruyere AOP European B Curling Championships, Messenzehl take home 5.500 world rankings points. For week 17 of the event schedule, Messenzehl did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Messenzehl ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
