In their opening game, Smith/Small defeated Anna Munroe/Steven Leong (Edmonton, AB) 9-4, then won 11-4 against Kate Ector/Justice Jacques (Calgary, AB) and 7-6 against Gracelyn Richards/Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB). Smith/Small won 8-2 against Emily Neary/Dylan Hancock (St. Johnâs , NL), then won 10-2 against Maria Fitzgerald/Caelan McPherson (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

Smith/Small ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
