To advance to the championship game, Nyman won 9-2 over Andreas Harstad (Oslo, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2024 Match Town Trophy in Jonkoping, Sweden;
Nyman finished 5-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nyman defeated Claes Mattsson (Jonkoping, SWE) 8-5, then went on to lose 5-2 against Harstad. Nyman responded with a 9-1 win over Manuel Jermann (Basel, SUI). Nyman won 5-4 against Jacob Schmidt (Hvidovre, DEN), then won 6-1 against Joel Westerberg (Sundbyberg, SWE) and 7-0 against Axel Landelius (Mjolby, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Match Town Trophy, Nyman take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN prize. For week 8 of the event schedule, Nyman did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Nyman ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
