To advance to the championship game, Gaidule/Buncis won 6-2 over Andrine Roenning/Harald Daehlin (Lillehammer, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2024 WCT Latvian Mixed Doubles Curling Cup 1 in Riga, Latvia; and won 6-1 over Daina Barone/Eduard Nikolov (Riga, LAT) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 WCT Latvian Mixed Doubles Curling Cup 1 in Riga, Latvia;
Gaidule/Buncis finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gaidule/Buncis defeated Sabine Jeske/Arnis Veidemanis (Riga, LAT) 8-7, then won 7-5 against Akvile Rykove/Konstantin Rykov (Vilnius, LTU) and 10-4 against Sylvi Hausstatter/Sondre Svorkmo-Lundberg (Lillehammer, NOR). Gaidule/Buncis won 8-3 against Iluta Linde/Janis Redlihs (Riga, LAT) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the WCT Latvian Mixed Doubles Curling Cup 1 Championship title, Gaidule/Buncis earned 3.750 world rankings points along with the $500CDN first prize cheque. For week 14 of the event schedule, Gaidule/Buncis did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
