To advance to the championship game, Ueno won 8-4 over Kate Cameron (St. Adolphe, MB) in the semifinals of the New Year Curling in Miyota 2025 in Miyota, Japan, Japan;
Ueno finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ueno defeated Japan's Moka Tanaka 5-4, then went on to lose 6-4 against Rebecca Mariani (Trentino, ITA). Ueno responded with a 8-4 win over Yui Ozeki (Tokyo, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the New Year Curling in Miyota 2025 Championship title, Ueno earned 11.250 world rankings points along with the $9,105CDN first prize cheque.
