Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN) lost 7-4 to Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the Final of the WCT Take-Out Trophy, held December 20 - 22, 2024 in Basel, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Kitazawa won 6-2 over Sara Messenzehl (Fuessen, GER) in the semifinals of the 2024 WCT Take-Out Trophy in Basel, Switzerland; and won 9-1 over Elodie Jerger (Baden, SUI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 WCT Take-Out Trophy in Basel, Switzerland;
 
Kitazawa finished 3-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kitazawa defeated Rebecca Mariani (Trentino, ITA) 8-7, then went on to lose 7-0 against Roxanne Heritier (Bern, SUI). Kitazawa responded with a 7-4 win over Jana Hoffmann (Basel, SUI). Kitazawa went on to lose 6-3 against Wrana. Kitazawa responded with a 9-6 win over Moa Dryburgh (Sundbyberg , SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the WCT Take-Out Trophy, Kitazawa take home 13.750 world rankings points along with the $6,384CDN prize. For week 21 of the event schedule, Kitazawa did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 16th place on the World Ranking Standings with 193.984 total points. Kitazawa ranks 14th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 138.250 points earned so far this season.
