Beth Peterson (Winnipeg, MB) lost 9-1 to Bobae Kang (Jeonbuk, KOR) in the Final of the MCT Showdown, held November 29 - December 1, 2024 at the Stonewall Curling Club in Stonewall, Canada. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Peterson won 6-3 over Nancy Martin (Saskatoon, SK) to advance to the championship game. of the 2024 MCT Showdown in Stonewall, Manitoba, Canada;

Peterson finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peterson defeated Emma Jensen (Winnipeg, MB) 8-4, then won 8-3 against Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB) and 4-1 against Lane Prokopowich (Winnipeg, MB). Peterson won 9-6 against Lisa McLeod (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the MCT Showdown, Peterson take home 11.000 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize. Peterson move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 7.25 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 25th overall with 136.938 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Peterson ranks 23rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 85.625 points earned so far this season.
