In their opening game, Peterson defeated Emma Jensen (Winnipeg, MB) 8-4, then won 8-3 against Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB) and 4-1 against Lane Prokopowich (Winnipeg, MB). Peterson won 9-6 against Lisa McLeod (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the MCT Showdown, Peterson take home 11.000 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize.
