In their opening game, Casper defeated Wesley Wendling (Chaska, MN) 9-2, then won 10-4 against Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA) and 8-7 against John Shuster (Duluth, MN). Casper won 6-5 against Timothy Hodek (Fargo, ND), then won 7-5 against Chase Sinnett (Minneapolis, MN) and 5-4 against Ethan Sampson (Chaska, MN). Casper won 9-3 against Dropkin in their final qualifying round match.
