Barker finished 4-0 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Barker defeated Diane Foster (Lloydminster, SK) 9-1, then won 5-3 against Brooklyn Stevenson (Regina, SK) and 8-3 against Holland. Barker won 8-4 against Saskatchewan's Brooke Verbeem in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Moose Jaw SaskTour Spiel Championship title, Barker earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $1,600CDN first prize cheque.
