GunWoo Park (Incheon, KOR) finished 2-4 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Park lost 7-2 to Jongduk Park (Gangwon, KOR), droppimg another game, 9-4 to JaeBeom Lee (Uiseong, KOR). Park lost 8-3 to ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR) where Park responded with a 12-3 win over Jihoo Yoon (Bongmyeong, KOR). Park went on to lose 10-4 against Soo-Hyuk Kim (Gyeongbuk, KOR). Park responded with a 10-5 win over Jinhan Yoo (Uiseong, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Park earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 1 of the event schedule, Park did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Park ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
