Natsu Kikuchi (Hokkaido, JPN) finished 1-3 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kikuchi lost 7-2 to Riku Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN), droppimg another game, 6-5 to Takumi Maeda (Tokoro, JPN) where Kikuchi responded with a 6-3 win over Ryutaro Tani (Tokyo, JPN). Kikuchi went on to lose 10-5 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Kikuchi earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 28 of the event schedule, Kikuchi did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kikuchi ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
