Yildiz/Cakir finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Yildiz/Cakir defeated Paulina Hajduk/Jan Horacek (Bratislava, SVK) 7-2, then won 6-3 against Susanna Santti/Iikko Santti (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Yildiz/Cakir won 7-3 against Paulina Frysz/Adam Pasierbek (Lodz, POL) in their final qualifying round match.
