Lauren Cheal/Greg Cheal (Lennoxville, QC) finished 3-0 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cheal/Cheal defeated Denise Mulville/Anthony Hale (Kingston, ON) 9-2, then won 12-3 against Nicole Fortier/Denis Beauchemin (St-Lambert, QC) and 9-3 against Lucy Bradshaw/Darrick Kizlyk (Colorado Springs, CO) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the HARDLINE Sherbrooke Mixed Doubles-Tier 2 Championship title, Cheal/Cheal earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN first prize cheque. For week 16 of the event schedule, Cheal/Cheal did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Cheal/Cheal ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
