Duncan finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Duncan defeated Jenny Madden (Ottawa, ON) 9-6, then went on to lose 6-4 against Ladouceur. Duncan responded with a 7-4 win over Sarah Boland (St. John's, NL). Duncan won 5-3 against Emma Artichuk (Sudbury, NO), then won 6-3 against Shelley Hardy (Sarnia, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
