In their opening game, Roach/Gilbert defeated Manon Paquette/David Daoust (Sudbury, NO) 7-2, then won 7-6 against Hanna Davis/Steve Davis (Mississauga, ON). Roach/Gilbert went on to lose 10-4 against Laura Neil/Scott McDonald (St. Thomas, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
