To advance to the championship game, Neil/McDonald won 7-4 over Lauren Wasylkiw/Shane Konings (Stouffville , ON) in the semifinals of the 2024 Dixie Mixed Doubles Cup Presented by Guyana Curling Federation in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-6 over Melissa Adams/Alex Robichaud (Fredericton, NB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 Dixie Mixed Doubles Cup Presented by Guyana Curling Federation in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada;

Neil/McDonald finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Neil/McDonald defeated Hanna Davis/Steve Davis (Mississauga, ON) 7-6, then won 11-2 against Manon Paquette/David Daoust (Sudbury, NO) and 10-4 against Michelle Roach/Adam Gilbert (Burlington, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Dixie Mixed Doubles Cup Presented by Guyana Curling Federation, Neil/McDonald take home 11.000 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize. For week 9 of the event schedule, Neil/McDonald did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
