Julianna Mackenzie/Sterling Middleton (New Westminster, BC) lost 7-5 to Mahra Harris/Corey Chester (Victoria, BC) in the Final of the Victoria Mixed Doubles Cash Spiel, held September 20 - 22, 2024 at the Victoria Curling Club in Victoria, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Mackenzie/Middleton won 8-4 over Amanda Sluchinski/Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) in the semifinals of the 2024 Victoria Mixed Doubles Cash Spiel in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada; and won 7-5 over Courtney Woo/Daniel Wenzek (New Westminster, BC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 Victoria Mixed Doubles Cash Spiel in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada;

Mackenzie/Middleton finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mackenzie/Middleton defeated Bella Higdon/Todd Higdon (Victoria, BC) 10-1, then won 8-1 against Gina Triolo/Erik Sanders (Seattle, WA). Mackenzie/Middleton went on to lose 11-6 against Woo/Wenzek. Mackenzie/Middleton responded with a 9-8 win over Megan McGillivray/Connar Croteau (Vernon, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Victoria Mixed Doubles Cash Spiel, Mackenzie/Middleton take home 8.250 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize. For week 8 of the event schedule, Mackenzie/Middleton did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Mackenzie/Middleton ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
