Riley Smith (Winnipeg, MB) won 4-2 over Brett Walter (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the MCT Challenge, held October 11 - 13, 2024 at the St. Vital Curling Club in Winnipeg, Canada. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Smith won 1-0 over Giacomo Colli (Trentino, ITA) to advance to the championship game. of the 2024 MCT Challenge in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada;

Smith finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith defeated Marcus Titchkosky (Morden, MB) 10-4, then won 10-3 against Colli to advance to the A-Qualifier where they 10-1 against Jordan Peters (Winnipeg, MB) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the MCT Challenge Championship title, Smith earned 11.250 world rankings points along with the $1,800CDN first prize cheque. For week 11 of the event schedule, Smith did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Smith ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
