Kaufman finished 2-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kaufman defeated Helen Williams (Sydney, AUS) 1-0, then won 9-4 against Bayly Scoffin (Whitehorse, YK). Kaufman went on to lose 9-6 against Cameron in their final qualifying round match.
