In their opening game, Adams defeated James Ballance (Okotoks/Edmonton, AB) 7-5, then went on to lose 6-2 against Takumi Maeda (Tokoro, JPN). Adams responded with a 7-4 win over Rob Nobert (Vernon, BC). Adams won 8-5 against Aaron Sluchinski (Calgary, AB). Adams went on to lose 7-6 against Trevor Bonot (Thunder Bay, NO). Adams responded with a 7-2 win over Wesley Wendling (Chaska, MN). Adams went on to lose 7-6 against Dustin Kalthoff (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Adams earned 4.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 7 of the event schedule, Adams did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Adams ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
